Share expenses.
Keep it simple.

Splitright helps friends, families and teams record shared expenses and settle up in one group. No account is required.

Getting started

1. Create or join

Create a group or enter the group code shared by its members. A code is the access credential for that group—treat it like a password.

2. Add expenses

Choose who paid, who participated and the currency. Splitright calculates balances and settlements for the group.

3. Settle up

Review who owes whom and record settlements when your group pays back.

Frequently asked questions

What are group codes?
Group codes grant access to a shared group. Anyone with a code may be able to view or change that group's content. Share codes only with intended participants; do not post them publicly.
How do currencies and rates work?
Expenses can use their entered currency. When conversion is needed, Splitright uses rates supplied by FXRatesAPI. Rates can change; check the displayed values before settling.
What happens without an internet connection?
Splitright keeps local data in AsyncStorage so the app can show your archive on your device. Changes that need the shared service require connectivity. Local copies are not a promise of recovery.
Is my group automatically deleted or exported?
No. There is currently no automatic retention schedule, group deletion, or data export feature. Do not rely on Splitright as your only record.
Which devices are supported?
Splitright supports iPhone and iPad on iOS 16.4 and later, and Android phones and tablets on Android 7.0 and later. Both are published: App Store and Google Play.
Can I use Splitright without an account?
Yes. There is currently no account or sign-in system. Access is based on the group code. If you are weighing that model up against a spreadsheet or an account-based app, we wrote a longer piece on splitting expenses without making anyone sign up, including the trade-offs a group code brings.

Troubleshooting

Can’t join? Check the code character-by-character, ask the group owner for a current code, and check your connection.

Balances look wrong? Check payer, participants, currency and exchange rate on each expense, then refresh.

Missing local data? Avoid uninstalling or clearing app storage. Local archive data can be lost and is not guaranteed to be recoverable.
